This page will let you know more information about me and my family that you really want to know. Reading all the contents of this page at once, may cause dizziness, vomiting or other ill affects. It is recommended at the first sign of any discomfort, whether physical, mental or emotional to immediately stop viewing this page and get a life! Enjoy!
My
name is Jeffrey C. Kabahit. The "C" stands for Cool or is it
Cute maybe it's Crazy.
My middle name is a not so well kept
secret, but I'm not telling! I was born in Great Falls, Montana, U.S.A..
The son of a military man , I spent my early years living in Montana, Alaska and
Maine before we settled in California. My parents were both born in the
Philippines and immigrated to the USA. I was born during the Chinese Year
of the Dragon, which means... I don't know what that means!!! I'm of
Filipino decent...aren't you paying attention?!
My
parents met in Great Falls, Montana, U.S.A.. My father, Johnny A. Kabahit,
Jr., was on active duty with the U.S. Air Force. My mother, Melina C.
Kabahit, was a foreign exchange nursing student. They fell in love,
married and started a family. Dad is now retired and spends most of his
day doing whatever he wants... he's retired!!! Mom still works as a Nurse
for a school district.
I am
the middle son, which means... okay stop with the bad clichés. It means
that I have an older brother, Joel P. Kabahit and a younger brother, Dr. John T.
Kabahit, D.O.. They are the only other Filipino-Americans that I know of that
were born in Great Falls, Montana. We all live in California now, as do my
parents. We get together often to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and
holidays... or just because we can.
My
wife's name is Arlen. We met while I was on a business trip to Cebu,
Philippines. I knew I wanted to marry her 5 minutes after we met.
Our courtship was all about eating, drinking and talking. We would spend hours
just talking and getting to know each other. During that time, I spent
hundreds of dollars on phone cards!
We
have a daughter named Ivy Jane. She can be a handful at times, but she's
mostly a good little girl. She's also very bright. Ivy Jane's first
language was Viasayan ( a Filipino dialect), however, she's all but forgotten
it. She knows a few words, but can no longer speak it, nor does she under
stand it. She enjoys going to school (unlike me), watching cartoons (like
her mom), and playing with her friends (actual and imaginary - but not at the
same time)!
