In My Spare Time

I can't deny it.  Just like all American boys, I grew up with a fascination with the automobile.  I couldn't wait to learn how to drive.  In fact my mom taught me how to drive when I was 12 years old.  I've been driving ever since.  I've owned and destroyed many cars in my lifetime.  My dream car is a custom 1949 -51 Mercury Street Rod.  One day she will be mine!  Currently I own three cars (Arlen's car is not pictured):

1995 Toyota MR2 n/a - my love of the mid-engine car2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG - my family car

I also have the need for speed!  I satisfy that need by riding a motorcycle.  Riding gives me that feeling of freedom and control over my own destiny.  Of course you always have to watch out for those car drivers that don't look before changing lanes or like to make a right turn from the left lane.

One day I hope to fully modify my current motorcycle.  I also would like to build my own custom V-Twin.  There's so many options available for building V-Twins!

I love to travel domestically and internationally.  I find it a real education to learn about new cultures and eat local dishes.  I had the opportunity to travel a lot for my last job, so I've been to a lot of places in Southeast Asia!  I've made some good friends around the world that I hope to see again.

Here are the flags of the countries I've visited:

One of my favorite things to do is shoot 9-ball with my friends.  I started playing with my friend Rich.  He had an unfair advantage... he grew up with a pool table.  He beat me so many times that I had no choice but to get better!  Thanks Rich!

Lately, I've been doing a lot of gardening.  Not growing a garden of vegetables, but taking care of the lawn and plants.  Mowing, pruning, fertilizing, killing weeds...it's Zen like.  If you would like to see my landscaping go the pictures page.
